Essential Functions:
- Provides day-to-day work direction for the Power Team, addressing questions from the team related to customer orders, technical support, discrepancies, and related.
- Leads customer inquiries and order entry support for key national customers, ensuring alignment to customer agreements, accuracy and compliance.
- Provides OEM support as the primary back-up for order entry and customer inquiries, offering guidance and information to support customer demands.
- Ensures proper training for all personnel on sales techniques, procedures, and company policies.
- Performs selling techniques on inbound and/or outbound calls, needed during times of increased call demand.
- Handles customer complaints and assists with escalation needs as required.
- Informs personnel of new products, local advertising, price changes, and significant parts/service updates.
- Ensures that the sales department is adequately protected against theft, fraud, and/or other suspicious activity.
- Develops and implements contests/motivational ideas within sales team.
- Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or apparent.
- Attend training as directed by GNE.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales operations, customer service, or account management.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to direct and motivate a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve customer issues effectively.
- Knowledge of order entry systems, CRM platforms, and standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound judgment in handling escalations.
- Willingness to attend training and adapt to evolving business needs.
- 2 years of management/supervisory or equivalent business experience.
- Knowledge of small engines, power equipment, contractors, construction equipment, agriculture seating and accessories.
- Experience in related industry or two step distribution.
- High mechanical aptitude.
