Winter Swim Instructor
About the Role:
The Winter Swim Instructor will teach children ages 5–17 how to swim safely and confidently. The instructor will lead swim lessons, teach proper swimming techniques and water safety, and help swimmers improve their skills in a safe and positive environment.
- Must be available Saturdays from 11:30 AM–5:00 PM and Mondays–Thursdays from 6:45 PM–10:00 PM.
- Current Lifeguard and CPR/AED certification.
- Previous swimming instruction experience preferred.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Strong knowledge of water safety.
- Good communication and teaching skills.
- First Aid certification preferred.
- Lead individual and group swim lessons.
- Teach swimming skills and proper techniques.
- Assess swimmers' abilities and help them improve.
- Teach water safety and safe swimming practices.
- Keep track of attendance and swimmer progress.
- Work with lifeguards and other instructors to maintain a safe environment.
- Encourage and support swimmers as they build confidence.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures.
