Job Purpose
The Senior Data Analyst, Enterprise Analytics is responsible for leading the delivery of actionable insights that drive data-driven strategy and performance across the organization. This role owns the design and execution of complex, high-impact analytics initiatives, develops advanced analyses, and architects reusable assets to empower decision-making and operational excellence at scale. The Senior Data Analyst serves as a subject matter expert and thought partner to senior business stakeholders, ensuring analytics solutions are strategically aligned and forward-looking. This role also provides technical mentorship and guidance to analysts and non-expert users across the organization.

The expected base salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000, however the offered salary may be higher or lower than the above range dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations. The base salary is not inclusive of benefits or other incentives.

The Senior Data Analyst serves as a subject matter expert and thought partner to senior business stakeholders, ensuring analytics solutions are strategically aligned and forward-looking. This role also provides technical mentorship and guidance to analysts and non-expert users across the organization.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Partner with senior leadership to frame ambiguous business problems, shape the analytical approach, and deliver solutions that hold up under real decision-making pressure — including knowing when the right call is not to build something.
- Resolve conflicting metric definitions across departments and help establish shared business semantics that leadership can trust.
- Design and own semantic models and reporting frameworks that serve multiple departments at once, balancing performance, reusability, and governance rather than optimizing for a single team's request.
- Pull together information from systems that were never designed to talk to each other — CRM, ERP, marketing platforms, ad hoc files — and turn it into something durable rather than a one-off answer.
- Architect and maintain enterprise-level dashboards where long-term accuracy and maintainability matter as much as the initial insight.
- Document the reasoning behind analyses and metric logic well enough that someone else could pick up the work a year later.
- Set standards for how analytics work gets built and reused, raising the bar across the organization rather than just within this role.
- Mentor analysts and enable self-service users to build sound data products on their own.
- 4 years of experience in analytics, analytics engineering, or data-focused roles, with real accountability for analytics deliverables from framing through delivery — not just executing tickets.
- Advanced, hands-on fluency with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or similar), including complex query work and performance tuning, running on a cloud platform — Azure preferred, AWS also relevant.
- Comfort using code, not just point-and-click tools, to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data (Python).
- Real experience designing and maintaining a semantic model or metric layer that had to serve more than one audience with different — sometimes conflicting — needs, including dimensional modeling concepts like star schemas and slowly changing dimensions.
- Experience bringing basic software engineering discipline (version control, code review, modular and documented work) to analytics, which is too often treated casually.
- Experience reconciling messy, overlapping systems of record such as CRM, ERP, and marketing platforms.
- Experience building validation checks after having been burned by a silent data quality failure before.
- A track record of turning a vague ask from a senior stakeholder into a scoped project, and communicating results in terms that land with that audience.
- Experience mentoring others or setting standards that outlasted your own involvement.
- Interest in K-12 public education and how data moves from a district leader's dashboard down to a classroom-level decision.
- Exposure to AWS as a secondary cloud environment alongside Azure.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques such as forecasting, segmentation, or scenario modeling.
- Familiarity with data modeling and pipeline concepts (star/snowflake schema, entity-relationship modeling, ETL/ELT).
- Experience helping stand up or mature an analytics function, rather than only working within an established one.
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
