Position Overview

Life Preparatory School is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Full-Time High School Teacher to instruct core courses in Mathematics and Science for students in grades 9 through 12. This individual will play a key role in helping students grow both academically and spiritually—preparing them for success in higher education and in life.

The ideal candidate will be equipped to teach a range of subjects, including Algebra I, Algebra II, Plane Geometry, Precalculus, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Science: Matter and Energy, while cultivating a classroom atmosphere rooted in biblical truth, academic rigor, and personal growth.


Key Responsibilities

Teach assigned math and science courses to high school students (9th–12th grade) with excellence, enthusiasm, and clarity.
  • Create and implement lesson plans that integrate biblical worldview principles with high academic standards.
  • Develop students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and study skills with a focus on college readiness.
  • Provide consistent feedback, grading, and assessments that reflect both progress and mastery.
  • Inspire curiosity and confidence in students to pursue knowledge as part of their God-given purpose.
  • Foster a classroom culture of respect, discipline, and encouragement aligned with Christian values.
  • Collaborate with faculty and administration to ensure consistency across the curriculum.
  • Participate actively in school life—faculty devotions, chapel services, student mentoring, and special events.
  • Maintain communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom updates.


Qualifications

Education & Certification

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s degree or advanced coursework in a relevant discipline (preferred).
  • Teaching certification (preferred but not required).

Experience

Minimum of 2-3 years of classroom teaching experience in math or science at the secondary level.
  • Demonstrated success teaching subjects such as Algebra I & II, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Experience in college preparatory education strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Christian education philosophy or faith-based schooling is a plus.
