Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Childcare Center Director to oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality educational experiences, and foster a safe and nurturing environment for children. Duties
- Manage the overall daily operations of the childcare center, including staff supervision and scheduling
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational curriculum aligned with state regulations and best practices
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and safety standards to maintain a secure environment for children and staff
- Hire, train, and evaluate teaching staff to promote professional development and high-quality care
- Foster positive relationships with parents, families, and community partners to support children's development
- Maintain accurate records related to attendance, licensing documentation, and program activities
- Oversee procurement of supplies necessary for program operation
- Lead staff meetings, provide mentorship, and promote a collaborative team culture
Experience
- Higher education teaching experience or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or Education Administration preferred
- Proven experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings
- Previous experience in education administration or leadership roles within a university or childcare environment is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of child development principles, safety protocols, and licensing regulations
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively, coordinate multiple responsibilities, and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders
