What are the responsibilities and job description for the Airport Shuttle Route Dispatcher position at Great Lakes Transportation Shuttle?
**MUST HAVE DISPATCH EXPERIENCE **
Dispatch busses and vans for the Shuttle Service Program at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. Overall responsibilities include the monitoring of; vehicle location, headway maintenance in accordance with contractual obligation, and emergency resource allocation as indicated and provide the first line of quality customer service to phone inquiries and complaints.
- Shifts are 12 hours alternating 3 days one week and 4 days the following week.
- Monitor vehicle location, route adherence and headway maintenance within the guidelines of contractual obligations.
- Monitor and respond to all radio traffic for deployed shuttle fleet.
- Complete daily shift reports.
- Provide off going report to incoming relief dispatchers.
- Contact emergency services as requested by any driver involved in any event, the on duty supervisor, quality assurance supervisor or the director of transportation.
- Document complaints, driver incidents, action response to all incidents outside of daily routine.
- Respond to incoming phone inquiries with the idealism that you are the first line of quality customer service.
- Record and report to management all attendance issues (call off, tardy, etc.) that occur on your shift.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Adhere to established company policies, procedures and guidelines.
