Job summary:
Performs a variety of tasks. This position is very demanding physically. We are looking for a person who can work well as a part of a team. Needs to be forward thinking, self-motivated, detail oriented and have the ability to follow precise directions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Clean and maintain a safe work environment
- Abide by standard work procedures and job safety standards
- Meet quality expectations for all output produced
- Responsible for general labor tasks in assisting overall production of the shop
- We are looking for employees who are hardworking, reliable and detail oriented
- Ability to read and understand work instructions
- Ability to work quickly, accurately, and independently
- Willing to learn how to use grinders, cranes, forklifts, plasma cutters, and other tools
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Tasks not limited to: assembly, boxing, crating, cleaning, delivery, yard maintenance, snow removal etc.
- Other duties as required by supervisor.
- Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of material, methods, tools and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to work in poor lighting, heating and ventilation.
- Demonstrated ability to work in extreme hot and cold conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to work in dirty and noisy areas.
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints.
- Demonstrated ability to sketch schematics.
- Demonstrated ability to work in tight places.
- Demonstrated ability to lift moderately heavy objects (50-90 pounds).
- Demonstrated ability to do excessive walking, standing, bending and stooping.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain proper attendance and punctuality standards.
- Demonstrated awareness of NSF Standards
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. May require 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
