Great Lakes Sign Products is a manufacturer and distributor of lighting controllers for electric signs. We currently have an opening for an Operations Manager. Summary/Objective: The Operations Manager is involved in all aspects of running this small business that manufactures and distributes lighting controllers for electric signs. Specifically, they have direct responsibility for sales, purchasing, manufacturing, inventory control and accounting. This is a very “hands on” role requiring the operations manager to run the business on a day-to-day basis.
Essential Functions
- Basic familiarity with business concepts
- Negotiating terms and ordering component parts from suppliers
- Assembling products with basic hand tools and soldering equipment
- Handling customer calls and entering orders
- Including but not limited to project design support as it pertains to signage lighting
- Articulate the capabilities and limitations of the entire product portfolio and guiding customers to the correct solution
- Interfacing with distributors, sign companies, and vendors
- Conducting administrative functions including billing, shipping, inventory management and purchasing
- P&L responsibility
- Supervising the other members of the team as they perform their duties

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- A combination of education and on-the-job experience is also acceptable.
- Prior supervisor experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
