SUMMARY:
Under the direction and supervision of the Activity Director, this position is responsible for assisting in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating of the activity programs. This will be done in accordance with existing federal, state, and local standards as well as our established policies and procedures to ensure that the spiritual, developmental, emotional, recreational, and social
needs and interests of the residents are met on an individual basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure resident‐directed plans of care as it relates to each resident’s choices in activities.
- Assist in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the activity programs of the center to meet the needs and interests of each resident regardless of his/her cognitive level.
- Assist in identifying and monitoring the spiritual, social, recreational, and emotional needs and interests of the residents through routine interviews and visits.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with other departments within the center to ensure that activity programs can be properly maintained to meet the needs and interests of the residents.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and treat them with kindness, dignity, and respect.
- Assist in interviewing residents and families to better provide activities to meet the residents' needs and interests.
- Maintain and document activity progress notes as well as a record of the residents’ activities.
- Implement the current activities schedule as directed.
- Assist in providing individual activities to residents as assigned in accordance with the resident's care plans.
- Provide information to residents and families on available activity programs.
- Maintain a working knowledge and ensure compliance with all governmental regulations.
- Assist in arranging transportation and attending outside field trips for residents.
Job Type: Full-time 9 am - 5:30pm with every other weekend
Currently $3.40 extra COVID PAY
Qualifications
- High school diploma is required.
- COVID 19 vaccination required
- CNA License
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.23 - $17.83 per hour
