Job Description: Great Lakes Recovery Centers is looking for a Full-time master’s (Human Services) level therapist to work with youth in our new Day Treatment therapeutic classroom being developed alongside with Marquette-Alger Regional Educational Service Agency to serve Marquette County School Districts. Job duties include carrying a caseload of youth placed in the day treatment program. The role of the therapist includes developing treatment plans and continuing care plans, providing individual therapy, providing two therapy groups weekly, and providing family therapy. Consulting with educational staff, day treatment team, psychiatric services, and working with community-based resources and/or outside therapist for coordination of care. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong written and oral communication abilities, have excellent case conceptualization skills, be empathetic, caring, very organized, able to deescalate youth during high-stress situations, and have strong relationship-building skills. Qualifications: Must hold a current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a professional counselor or social worker. Experience in mental health, understanding of behaviors, and substance use disorder treatment preferred. Experience in understanding trauma, intergenerational trauma, underlying issues associated with behaviors, and training in variety of therapy models is preferred. Wage commensurate with experience.
