Description
The Service Manager responsible for supervising the service technicians. The Service Manager performs technical and administrative work for the servicing, maintenance and repair of vehicles ensuring all company and safety policies are followed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
- Manage all onsite tank installations, repairs, maintenance and test tasks
- Maintain service spreadsheet and order equipment as needed
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner
- Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
- Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
- Monitor billing and code invoices
- Ability to professionally resolve any customer and/or staff member complaints/issues
- Maintain permits for bulk plants
- Build positive relationships with customers
- On call required for contaminations, marine and spills
- May travel out of town/state for projects
Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in a workshop and outdoor settings. The employee works outside in weather conditions which may include exposure to hot, cold, wet, or humid conditions, including snow and ice. Many hours spent driving to and from locations. Locations vary depending on work schedule for the day. Noise level can vary from quiet in an office setting to loud in the outdoors.
Requirements
- Proven field service experience
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
- Ability to drive to various locations for necessary work
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
- Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
- Will be required to obtain a CDL
