We are seeking an Archery Technician to join our team at Great Lakes Outdoor Supply. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and support for our wide range of outdoor products. The Technician will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and enhancing the shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
- Perform product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance the customer experience.
- Utilize basic math skills for inventory management and sales transactions.
- Communicate effectively with customers both in-person and over the phone.
- Support sales initiatives by promoting products and services to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, assemble, and repair a variety of archery equipment including compound bows, recurve bows, and crossbows.
- Perform bow tuning and custom setups including draw length adjustments, peep sight installation, and arrow rest alignment.
- Assist customers with product selection based on their needs and skill level.
- Provide expert advice on archery gear, accessories, and shooting techniques.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Stay updated on the latest archery technologies, brands, and trends.
- Handle inventory related to archery products and manage work orders efficiently.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as an archery technician or in a related role.
- Strong knowledge of archery equipment, terminology, and repair techniques.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for the outdoors.
- Experience in retail sales or a similar environment preferred.
- Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
