Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Landscaper to join our dynamic outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing beautiful outdoor spaces through expert landscaping and groundskeeping skills. Duties
- Perform landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Maintain landscaped areas through mowing, trimming, pruning, edging, and weeding to ensure pristine appearance.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently.
- Manage irrigation systems by installing, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure optimal watering schedules for healthy plant growth.
- Conduct plant identification to select appropriate flora for different environments and perform pest management using pesticides responsibly following safety protocols.
- Execute seasonal tasks like snow plowing during winter months and perform tree care including trimming and removal as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures diligently while handling equipment and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of landscaping principles and grounds maintenance practices.
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and construction machinery such as excavators.
- Ability to identify plants accurately and apply horticultural knowledge effectively in landscape design and upkeep.
- Familiarity with pesticide management procedures adhering to safety standards.
- Skilled in operating hand tools and landscaping machinery with precision and care.
- Knowledge of hardscape construction techniques including stonework or concrete installation is a plus.
- Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, operating machinery, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
