Great Lakes Landscaping is seeking an experienced and dynamic Landscape Director to lead our diverse service divisions. With 30 years of established excellence in Macomb and Oakland Counties, we are a leading full-service landscaping provider committed to quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous growth.

About the Role

The Landscape Director is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the successful operation, management, and growth of our core service lines. This includes ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high-quality service standards, managing budgets, and leading multiple teams across different segments of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Manage and optimize daily operations across all service divisions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage multiple division managers and crews, fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Financial Management: Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, control costs, and drive revenue growth in collaboration with the executive team.
  • Service Excellence: Oversee the delivery of our complete range of services, ensuring client expectations are consistently met or exceeded:
  • Commercial Grounds Management: Lawn and turf maintenance, seasonal cleanups, and comprehensive commercial property care.
  • Commercial Winter Services: Full-scale commercial snow removal and de-icing operations.
  • Residential Design/Build: Oversight of high-quality residential hardscape projects, including pavers, outdoor living areas, and custom hardscapes.
  • Tree Services: Management of tree care, removal, and pruning services.
  • Client Relations & Sales Support: Assist in developing client relationships, participating in proposal development, and ensuring contract retention.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations adhere to safety protocols, industry best practices, and local regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience in the landscaping or related green industry.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse service lines (maintenance, snow, and construction/hardscapes).
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, P&L management, and cost control.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Deep knowledge of landscaping best practices, materials, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with the Macomb and Oakland County service areas is a plus.
  • A relevant degree or certification in Horticulture, Landscape Management, Business, or a related field is highly desirable.

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
