We are seeking a dedicated Irrigation Technician to join our team. You will be essential in maintaining the health and beauty of our commercial clients' properties by ensuring their irrigation systems are running efficiently and effectively. As an Irrigation Technician, you will manage all aspects of commercial irrigation systems, including:
- System Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and complex repairs on various commercial irrigation systems (sprinklers, drip, controllers, pumps, etc.).
- Seasonal Services: Handle system startups (spring activation) and winterization (blowouts) efficiently and according to best practices.
- Water Management: Conduct system audits and adjustments to optimize water use, conserve resources, and ensure plant health.
- Installation and Upgrades: Assist with the installation of new systems or modifications and upgrades to existing systems.
- Client Communication: Clearly communicate maintenance issues, repair needs, and recommendations to the client or account manager.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, inventory, and detailed reports of all work performed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the lawn care and landscaping crews to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Proven experience as an Irrigation Technician, preferably in a commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation system components, installation, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and specifications.
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor.
- Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., IA Certified Irrigation Technician).
- Experience with advanced controller technologies and smart irrigation systems.
- Knowledge of local landscape plants and their specific watering requirements.
