Position Overview
The Landscape Install Crew Leader is responsible for leading a field crew in the installation of high-quality landscape projects while ensuring safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical skill, and the ability to execute plans accurately while maintaining company standards.
The Crew Leader serves as the primary on-site point of contact and is accountable for production, quality, and crew performance.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Leadership & Operations
- Lead and supervise a landscape installation crew on daily job sites
- Assign tasks, set expectations, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
- Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques and best practices
- Maintain high morale, professionalism, and accountability
Landscape Installation
- Read and execute landscape plans accurately
- Perform grading, layout, and site preparation
- Operate and oversee use of hand tools, power tools, and small equipment
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and timelines
Jobsite Management
- Conduct daily job briefings and safety checks
- Communicate progress, issues, and material needs to Production Manager
- Ensure proper cleanup and organization of job sites
- Protect client property and maintain a professional presence
Required
- 2 years of landscape installation experience
- 1 year of crew leadership or foreman experience
- Ability to read landscape plans and layout jobs
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid drivers license (chauffeurs license preferred)
- Equipment operation experience (skid steer, mini-excavator, etc.)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Preferred
- Experience in high-end residential or commercial installation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
