Job Overview
The Driver is responsible for safely and accurately transporting materials in accordance with all DOT and state requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes pre-shift/startup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
- Delivers goods in a timely and efficient manner
- Deliver goods to customers in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure that all deliveries are made in accordance with company policy and procedure
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other drivers to ensure smooth operation of local trucking fleet
- Inspect truck before each shift to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Report any mechanical or maintenance issues to supervisor
- Participates in safety and other programs.
· Other duties may be assigned or reassigned at any time.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience as licensed CDL driver
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT drug test and physical.
- Demonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions
Education and Experience
- Two year’s related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; required
