Manager, South Operations
Great Lakes Energy is seeking a Manager, South Operations to lead distribution line operations across our southern service districts. This role oversees construction, maintenance, system improvements, and emergency restoration efforts, while developing frontline leaders and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.

A Day in the Life
The Manager, South Operations leads electric distribution line operations across the south districts, including construction, maintenance, inspections, and system improvement projects. This role drives operational excellence, ensures safety and regulatory compliance, and builds strong, high-performing teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop supervisors and crews
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NESC, and RUS standards
- Oversee construction, maintenance, and system improvements
- Plan and prioritize work across districts
- Coordinate cross-functional operations
- Lead storm response and emergency restoration efforts
- Manage budgets, resources, and contractor performance
- Resolve escalated member concerns
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Technology/Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 10 years in electric distribution operations
- 5 years of leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of RUS standards and utility safety practices
Preferred: Journeyman lineworker experience, CDL (Group A), NRECA training
