Tonawanda. Great Lakes Dental Technologies. Front Desk-Receptionist. FT 40 hrs wk.
Answers incoming phone calls from customers. Provides administrative support and assistance to management and departments. Performs routine activities. Tasks are easily mastered and clearly defined. Receives direct supervision and exercises limited independent judgement or discretion.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Answer all inbound phone calls via a multiline phone/computer program.
(approximately 500 daily inbound calls a day)
Direct calls to appropriate department by cross-referencing call coverage sheet.
Use paging system to alert technicians and other employees of phone calls/deliveries.
Greet all guests to the building and create badges.
Prepare documents for mailing.
Indexing/Scanning documents such as sales and lab orders, and Doctors Rx forms.
Data entry.
Sorting Company emails.
Education And/or Experience
High school diploma (GED) or equivalent skills plus one year specialty training or one year college or equivalent experience.
Ability to work independently.
Experience With Computerized Telephone Systems Preferred.
Other skills and Abilities:
Good verbal communication skills and telephone manner.
Good computer skills including typing.
Good problem-solving ability.
Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Outlook
Friendly and approachable manner.
Can collaborate effectively with team members, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
Ability to review data, draw conclusions and make suggestions based on data.
