Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and answering multi-line phone systems with professionalism.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using Open Dental
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance authorization and verification processes to ensure accurate billing.
- Collect patient information, update medical records, and review documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Manage patient check-in/check-out procedures, including intake forms, consent forms, and payment processing.
- Maintain organized dental records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding health information management.
- Assist with billing procedures including filing dental claims
- Support clinic operations by managing appointment reminders, follow-up scheduling, and coordinating care plans when necessary.
Skills
- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Prior dental office experience is highly preferred; dental clinic experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and familiarity with dental office management systems like Open Dental
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
