Box 728Chicago Heights, IL 60412   Controller We are seeking a detail-oriented candidate to fill our Controller position which is responsible for: ·        Managing day-to-day accounting functions and staff·        Coordinating month-end and year-end closing procedures and performing necessary accruals, adjustments and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting·        Production of financial documents and internal reporting in compliance with financial regulations and internal controls·        Oversee the general ledger, A/R, A/P, and payroll/HR functions·        Implement internal controls to reduce risk of errors, omissions and fraud·        Monitor cash flow and working capital and makes recommendations for optimization·        Maintains relationships with external partners in banking, insurance, tax & audit services, and IT support·        Works closely with Ownership to facilitate daily operations and plan for future Successful Candidates will possess: ·        BS -Accounting degree from 4 yr program·        CPA or CMA preferred·        5 years of Accounting/Management and Supervisory Experience’·        Cost Accounting and Inventory Experience·        Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements·        Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to learn additional software·        Spanish language helpful Company Information Great Lakes Concrete, LLC is a privately owned manufacturer of precast concrete structures and distributor of materials for Sanitary, Sewer, and Water Movement markets.  Our customers are contractors and municipalities with sales ranging from $10-15M.  Current ownership is in its 8th year, but the business has been around more than 30 years. Position Offers ·        Competitive salary·        Group medical, dental, vision and life insurance·        401(k) plan available after 1 yr service·        Highly visible role partnering with Ownership to stretch your entrepreneurial spirit Please send your resume and salary requirement to James Drake at jdrake@glconcrete.com.
