Essential Functions and Duties
- Responsible for installed electrical and controls based systems and equipment, including their expansion and adaptation to meet strategic goals
- Assist in the modification, repair, support and management of existing complex, automated hardware systems
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical and controls issues directly on the factory floor
- Develop (design, engineer, estimate, planning, etc.), execute and manage projects of all types for all parts of the business operations
- Create, program, build, maintain, and modify data acquisition and process control systems for automated equipment that supports manufacturing, quality control, and other plant operations
- Integrate and program automated PC and/or PLC based control systems with other 3rd party software and hardware tools, sensors, interfaces, motion control, actuators, and manipulators
- Troubleshoot, configure, and schedule Ethernet, ControlNet, and DeviceNet control networks
- Develops and oversees preventive / predictive maintenance programs for electrical, controls and instrumentation systems, ensuring aligned with overall maintenance program objectives
- Expected to work flexible and extended hours and be on-call during defined nonstandard working hours as needed to handle engineering issues
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) or over 5 years of related experience
Work Experience
- Minimum of three years of relevant industrial experience including designing, creating, programming, implementation, testing, and maintaining electrical & automated hardware control systems
Required Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with computer systems, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software
- Experience with Rockwell Factory Talk, Drives & PLC software & hardware
- Ability to troubleshoot and think critically, participate in team-based Root Cause Analysis meetings
- Ability and willingness to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and / or experience with brewing industry, specifically craft brewing industry
- Manufacturing operations experience
Preferred Licensure / Certification
- International Society of Automation (ISA) CAP or CCST
- Registered Engineer In Training (EIT) in the State of Ohio
