Shape the Batch: Operate and Own Our Bakery Line
Join our Chicago Heights team as an Operator I in the Production department and keep our bakery lines humming. You’ll report to the Production Supervisor and run equipment that turns ingredients into finished goods that meet exacting specifications for safety, quality, and legality.
A day in this role
- Arrive ready for a 12-hour shift; verify tools, settings, and supplies are in place before start-up.
- Run, monitor, and adjust bakery machinery to hit targets; keep constant attendance at your equipment and restrict use to trained teammates.
- Follow SOPs, GMPs, and our Allergen, Food Defense, and HACCP programs every step of the way.
- Complete accurate, legible production and material usage records; capture downtime and report at shift end.
- Weigh and record waste properly; document finished and semi-finished goods and, when needed, enter data in SAP.
- Communicate equipment or food safety concerns promptly to supervision; partner with Maintenance for repairs and adjustments.
- Keep your area and machines clean; use PPE and all safety devices; never use damaged pallets and never abuse equipment.
- Report any unsafe acts or injuries immediately; help keep a safe, orderly, fast-paced environment.
- Build strong working relationships; follow work instructions; perform other duties as assigned to support plant needs.
Purpose of the position
Operate and care for production equipment so every product leaving the line matches company specifications and regulatory/customer requirements.

Minimum qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year as a machine operator (required); food industry experience preferred.
- Proficiency with: Food & Beverage Manufacturing, Mixing, Blending, Weighing Raw Materials, Machine setups for production runs.
Compensation & schedule
- Job Type: Full-time; Work Location: In person
- Pay: $16.50 – $17.50 per hour
- Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
- Schedule: 12-hour shift; day or night; current opening includes 1st shift (6am–6pm)
