Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Machinery Repair: Service, troubleshoot, and repair stone fabrication equipment, including Baca CNC Sawjets, bridge saws, and edge polishers.
- High-Pressure Systems: Install, inspect, and repair high-pressure waterjet lines, plumbing, intensifier/booster pumps, and water filtration/recycling systems.
- Systems Maintenance: Work with 3-phase electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Fabrication & Piping: Thread pipe and perform MIG/Stick welding to repair water/air lines and modify facility equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Read technical manuals and schematics independently to design, implement, and manage regular PM schedules and machine service logs.
2. Shop Operations & Deliveries
- Inventory Management: Maintain a clean, highly structured maintenance area and keep an accurate inventory of tools, spare parts, and repair supplies.
- Driving & Material Handling: Safely operate a forklift and drive a 26ft box truck for commercial job-site deliveries (0–15 hours/week).
- Off-Hours Servicing: Perform off-schedule repairs (occasional nights or weekends) when critical needs arise to minimize shop downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3 years of industrial or equipment maintenance experience with a proven track record of managing PM schedules and tool inventory.
- Technical Skills:
- Direct experience installing and repairing high-pressure waterjet lines and fluid/pneumatic systems.
- Proficient in MIG/Stick welding and pipe threading.
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, 3-phase electricity, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals independently.
- Driving & Certifications:
- Clean driving record and experience operating a 26ft box truck.
- Active DOT Medical Card (or ability to pass a DOT physical prior to hire).
- Forklift Certification (or ability to re-certify upon hire).
- Physical & Schedule Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work comfortably in a wet, fast-paced industrial environment.
- Flexibility for overtime and occasional night/weekend emergency repairs.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
