Job Summary:
The Painter Assistant supports the painting team by preparing surfaces, setting up work
areas, and performing cleanup tasks. This role involves working closely with the Painter to
ensure efficient workflow and quality results while adhering to all safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with surface preparation, including sanding, scraping, washing, and masking
surfaces for painting.
Set up, organize, and maintain painting equipment, tools, and materials.
Perform routine checks and maintenance of painting equipment.
Clean and store equipment, tools, and supplies after use, ensuring the workspace is
organized and safe.
Follow safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and
properly handling hazardous materials.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisor to ensure quality and timely
completion of work.
Maintain accurate records of materials used, time spent, and tasks completed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in painting or a related field is a plus but not required.
Basic knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical ability to stand, crouch, and lift up to 40 lbs.
Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm with OT
Pay rate: $18-$19 DOE
