Seeking a hands-on Coach Recruitment & Training Manager to lead the complete coach talent pipeline—from sourcing and evaluating candidates to training, field qualification, placement readiness, and early performance follow-up. This role ensures every coach can safely lead youth, teach sports and movement skills, follow required procedures, and represent the organization professionally in school and adaptive‑program settings.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Adaptive Coaches, substitutes, interns, and seasonal staff.

  • Recruit through colleges, athletic departments, coaching networks, youth organizations, job boards, and community partners.

  • Screen candidates, conduct structured interviews, run practical auditions, and evaluate real coaching ability.

  • Coordinate all pre-employment requirements (references, background checks, TB, mandated reporter training, certifications).

  • Deliver orientation, training, and coach qualification pathways—including adaptive-coach modules and assessments.

  • Oversee supervised field practice, placement readiness, and documented handoffs to site leadership.

  • Complete 30-, 60-, and 90-day performance reviews and provide corrective coaching when needed.

  • Maintain accurate records, dashboards, and weekly recruiting/training reports.

  • Ensure no coach is placed before completing all required training, documentation, and approvals.

Success Looks Like

  • Reliable pipeline of qualified coaches

  • Priority openings filled within required timelines

  • 100% compliance with training, documentation, and safety standards

  • Strong early retention and fewer preventable performance issues

  • Audit-ready records and consistent reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with disabilities or individualized needs

  • Adaptive PE, special education, behavior support, or therapeutic recreation background

  • College athlete or experienced youth-sports coach
