Duties
- Make handmade/homemade bread and goodies ensuring visual appeal and quality standards are met
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, desserts, and other culinary items following established recipes and safety protocols
- Package finished products neatly and efficiently for retail display or catering orders
- Assist in food production tasks, including mixing, assembling, and finishing baked items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace to uphold food safety standards
- Support catering events by preparing specialty items and ensuring timely delivery
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations
Requirements
- Proven experience in baking, pastry arts with a strong portfolio of work
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and adherence to food safety regulations
- Skilled in food preparation techniques including knife skills, cooking, and baking methods
- Previous experience working in a restaurant, catering, or food production environment is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer interaction
- Culinary experience with proficiency in kitchen equipment and tools used for baking and food prep
