Lead Barista – Great Harvest Bakery Café (Burlington, VT)
Full-Time | Morning Shifts | Long-Term Position

Great Harvest Bakery Café in Burlington is looking for a Lead Barista to help manage our café. We’re searching for someone with a solid foundation in coffee, a natural sense of hospitality, and a can-do attitude. If you're friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and fun to work with, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Do:
- Open the café and set up coffee and baked goods displays
- Craft consistently excellent espresso drinks to La Colombe standards (latte art encouraged!)
- Keep our coffee bar stocked and organized—manage inventory and place orders as needed
- Develop our calendar of seasonal drink specials
- Greet and serve customers with warmth, speed, and professionalism
- Handle cash and operate the register with accuracy
- Prepare breakfast sandwiches on the panini press
- Box up baked goods and help guests navigate our offerings
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and welcoming workspace
Bonus: You’ll be working with top-tier equipment including a La Marzocco AV 2-group, Nuova Simonelli Mythos One, and Mahlkönig grinders.
What We’re Looking For:
- Barista or coffee experience preferred—but we’re happy to train the right person with passion and curiosity
- Early riser: shifts run from 6:45 AM to 2:00 PM Tuesday - Saturday
- Long-term commitment (this is not a seasonal role)
- Friendly, reliable, and tidy team player who enjoys creating a great customer experience
