Elementary Alternative Programming Teacher
Great Falls Elementary School is seeking a collaborative, student-centered Elementary Alternative Programming Teacher to support students with diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers, Ed Techs, and families to design and implement specialized learning plans within a tiered system of interventions. This position provides targeted instruction and support focused on developing functional skills, self-regulation, prosocial behaviors, and increased access to learning.
Responsibilities include:
•Delivering targeted instruction and intervention
•Supporting students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
•Developing and implementing individualized learning plans
•Collaborating with staff and families to support student success
•Monitoring progress and adjusting supports as needed
•Creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
•Maine Elementary Teaching Certification (or eligibility)
•Experience supporting students with behavioral and/or alternative programming needs preferred
•Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
