Part-Time Assistant Teacher – Perfect for College Students

Great Expectations Child Care & Early Learning Center is looking for a dependable, energetic, and caring Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our team!

This position is a great fit for a college student studying education, early childhood education, psychology, social work, or a related field—or anyone who enjoys working with children and wants a consistent part-time schedule.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the lead teacher with classroom activities and daily routines
• Engaging with children through play, learning activities, and conversation
• Helping with meals, bathroom routines, rest time, and classroom transitions
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Supervising children and helping maintain a safe environment
• Providing dependable support wherever needed within the center

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Patient, positive, and genuinely enjoys working with children
• Dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Willing to learn and accept guidance
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
• Able to obtain all required childcare clearances and documentation

Previous childcare experience is helpful but not required. We are happy to train the right person!
