We are seeking a seasoned professional who meets the following minimum requirements:
Experience:
- At least 4 years of professional dog bathing experience in a grooming salon (paid position, as an adult)
Skills:
- Precision nail clipping and Dremel filing
- Proper anal gland expression
- Paw pad trimming
- Safe dematting techniques
- Thorough ear cleaning
- Basic skin and coat condition assessment
- Advanced shampoo and product knowledge

Essential Job Functions
Technical Excellence:
Perform all aspects of professional bathing, including force-air drying, brushing to completion (mat-free), nail trims, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression with skill and efficiency.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand for an entire shift, lift up to 50 pounds unaided, bend, kneel, and safely move dogs in and out of tubs and crates.
Dog Handling:
Use calm, humane techniques when working with all dogs, including with reactive, frustrating or anxious dogs. Maintain safety for all dogs at all times. Potty walk dogs when needed.
Efficiency:
Manage time effectively and work independently to meet production goals (minimum 8–10 dogs per shift, plus nail trims).
Communication and Safety:
Recognize health or behavioral concerns and report appropriately. Communicate clearly with clients and team members.
Operational Support:
Handle cash and credit card transactions, answer phones, and book appointments (familiarity with Gingr software is a plus). Maintain bathing supplies, launder towels, and keep the bathing area spotless.
