Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Drop and hook freight
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records for each trip
Requirements
- Truck owner
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle manual handling tasks safely
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and safety standards for truck driving
- Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation accuracy
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual handling proficiency, and hazard awareness
