Radiologic Technologist - CT Specialist
We're seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this role, you'll perform diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing state-of-the-art equipment while providing exceptional patient care across all age groups. Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiography, fluoroscopy, and portable radiography examinations for patients of all ages
- Operate CT scan equipment with precision and attention to detail
- Maintain accurate positioning and exposure techniques
- Participate in department quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor and work collaboratively with Radiography students
- Maintain patient records and prepare detailed technical reports
- Participate in continuing education to maintain current competencies
Required Qualifications:
- Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider)
- Virginia Radiologic Technologist license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Demonstrated experience with digital imaging systems and PACS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call rotation
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform sedentary to medium physical activities (10-50 lbs)
- Extended periods of standing and walking
- Visual acuity to detect subtle differences in radiographic images
- Manual dexterity for equipment operation and patient positioning
