In this vital role, you'll work alongside top surgeons in our state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), performing critical procedures including saphenous vein harvesting and providing essential surgical support.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced surgical assistance during complex cardiovascular procedures
- Perform saphenous vein harvesting for cardiac bypass surgeries
- Maintain optimal exposure and hemostasis during surgical procedures
- Assist in patient positioning and surgical preparation
- Ensure sterile technique and maintain surgical equipment
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in pre and post-operative patient care planning
Required Qualifications:
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from an accredited agency
- Valid Surgical First Assistant certification through a nationally accredited certification agency
- Current BLS certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in CVOR and vein harvesting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina for long periods of standing and precise manual dexterity
