SCOPE OF WORK: Performs clerical and technical duties in support of the library including assisting with and helping troubleshoot library technologies. This position reports to the College Dir., Library Programs & Services at NHTI, Concord’s Community College.

License/Certification: None required.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Some knowledge of proper English usage and grammar. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to learn assigned clerical tasks readily and to adhere to prescribed departmental procedures. Ability to make simple arithmetical computations and tabulations accurately and with reasonable speed. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing authority.

Accountabilities
- Checks paper supply in library printers, assists with basic troubleshoot printing issues;
- Assists learning commons patrons with Microsoft Office products; online periodical searches, student information system, and Canvas;
- Works the Circulation desk as assigned and checks educational materials in and out of the library; re-shelves materials correctly;
- Assists students in locating needed materials, assists with computer related problems, assists with basic reference inquiries but refers more involved requests to the Director;
- Opens and/or closes library, checks all doors and windows, turns off equipment, makes note of any missing and/or damaged items;
- Adds client records to circulation software system, TLS Solutions;
- Compiles statistics for library use;
- Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations;
- Other duties as assigned.
