- Perform manual therapy techniques and other interventions to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
- Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and modify care plans based on patient progress and clinical assessments.
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation, including electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, discharge planning, and home exercise programs to promote active participation in recovery.
Experience
- Familiarity with orthopedic, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care practices within physical therapy.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical documentation standards essential for accurate clinical assessment documentation.
- Hands-on experience with manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy modalities.
- Demonstrated ability to operate medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments safely and effectively.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Prior involvement in discharge planning processes and client communication to support seamless patient transitions across care settings.
