Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide centralized legal, compliance, licensing, and administrative support across a group of affiliated companies.
- Draft corporate resolutions, written consent, operating agreements, keeping the CLO’s workload organized, documentation current and key deadlines on track across multiple active areas.
- Prepare and file annual reports, state qualifications, and business entity renewals across all operating jurisdictions.
- Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations governing retail automotive/RV sales, including Truth in Lending (TILA), Regulation Z, GLBA privacy rules, and FTC Safeguards.
- Assist the CLO and ELT with due diligence, document preparation, and closing checklists for dealership acquisitions (buy/sell agreements) and commercial real estate transactions.
- Manage the repository of fully executed contracts and track critical renewal/termination dates.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a corporate paralegal, compliance, licensing or legal operations; ideally within a multi-state automotive/RV dealership, hospitality, finance or other regulated industry.
- Strong familiarity with multi-jurisdictional dealer licensing, DMV procedures, consumer finance compliance, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with entity management platforms, contract lifecycle management (CLM) software, electronic signature tools, and enterprise document management systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple dealership rooftops; strong written and verbal communication skills to interface confidently with executive leadership, dealer principals, and state regulators.
