Duties
- Install, repair, and troubleshoot irrigation systems using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators.
- Perform routine maintenance on irrigation components to ensure optimal operation and water efficiency.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, lawn care, tree trimming, pruning, and gardening to support overall landscape health.
- Assist with landscaping projects involving hardscape installation, planting, and general land development activities.
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust irrigation schedules accordingly to conserve water while maintaining healthy landscapes.
- Support seasonal tasks such as snow plowing during winter months to keep properties accessible and safe.
- Collaborate with team members on construction projects involving land grading, tree care, and landscape enhancements.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working with irrigation systems, power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment like excavators.
- Strong background in lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, gardening, and tree care practices.
- Familiarity with landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and general land development.
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions; comfortable working on uneven terrain.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Prior experience in snow plowing or winter landscape services is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites, landscaping equipment, and outdoor work environments.
