What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer Pipe Layer - Underground Utilities position at Graziani Construction?
Graziani Construction is looking for experienced Pipelayers to join our fast-paced water and sewer pipe crews. We offer a rewarding heavy civil work environment where you will see new places, learn new techniques, and work across multiple utility jobsites all while holding the highest standard in safety.
What You Will Do (Responsibilities):
- Mainline Installation: Install water and sewer mains ranging from 2"-36" (PVC/DI/HDPE).
- Connections & Appurtenances: Install and fit valves, bends, copper service lines, and laterals.
- Utility Work: Safely and accurately locate existing underground utilities.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate small engine tools (chainsaws, cut-off saws, etc.) and drive company vehicles in a responsible manner.
- Public Relations: Respectfully interact with public motorists and property owners on active jobsites.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements):
- Experience: Previous experience in the water, sewer, and underground utility field is REQUIRED.
- Safety & Teamwork: Ability to work quickly in a team environment while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Driving Record: A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable personal transportation are required. (Class A CDL is a major plus!)
- Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random testing throughout employment.
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
