Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement equipment management strategies to optimize utilization and reduce downtime.
- Oversee equipment procurement, maintenance schedules, and repairs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track equipment usage across multiple job sites.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate with project managers to assess equipment needs and availability.
- Establish vendor relationships for equipment leasing, repairs, and procurement.
- Monitor equipment lifecycle and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.
- Develop cost-effective maintenance and repair strategies to control expenses.
- Train and support field teams on proper equipment use and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
I. Work Experience
- 5 years of experience in equipment management within construction, industrial, or heavy equipment industries.
- Strong knowledge of fleet management, equipment maintenance, and logistics.
- Experience with budgeting, procurement, and vendor negotiations.
- Understanding of OSHA and safety regulations related to equipment usage.
II. Education/Training
- High School Diploma
- Certifications in equipment management or safety compliance are a plus.
III. Software & Technology
- Proficiency in fleet management software, inventory tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or ERP systems is preferred.
IV. Work Environment
- Work is performed in both office and field environments.
- Must be able to travel to job sites as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate heavy equipment occasionally.
