Responsibilities
- Operate agricultural loaders, heavy equipment and feed truck, and farm machinery safely and efficiently to support daily farm activities.
- Feed livestock accurately according to nutritional plans, monitor animal health, and monitor feed inventories. While maintaining a clean safe work enviroment.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on farm equipment, including feed and acurraccy records and mechanical repairs as needed.
- Manage the feed center , feed inventories, maintenence records pen changes livestock numbers
- Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and the use of hand tools or power tools to support equipment upkeep and farm infrastructure.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to production safety protocols, operating machinery responsibly, and ensuring a hazard-free environment.
- Assist with irrigation systems, cropping and storage of crops.
Skills
- Proven experience in farm work, agriculture, or related outdoor roles with a strong understanding of farming practices.
- Skilled in operating payloaders, power tools, skid loaders, trucks and heavy machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair, maintenance of farm machinery, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for outdoor work.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) procedures.
- Basic math skills for inventory management or feed calculations.
