Position: Facility Maintenance Worker – Full time
Department: Juvenile Services
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Duties: Perform preventive maintenance on facility systems
(HVAC, lighting, generators, etc.) Maintain security
hardware (locks, doors, windows, keys). Perform lawn care
and facility upkeep. Ensure safe handling of hazardous
materials (MSDS compliance). Maintain records for
vehicles, equipment, and warranties. Must be available to
respond to emergency calls outside of regular work hours,
including weekends.
Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance
and repair (gas/diesel). Minimum 1 year of general building
maintenance experience. Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must pass background check and pre-employment drug
test.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver’s license
required. Must obtain certification as a Juvenile Detention
Officer within 6 months of hire and maintain certification
throughout employment.
Working Conditions: Indoor/outdoor work environments; exposed to inclement
weather, dust, paint fumes, noise, and hazardous
materials. Must be able to lift heavy objects, move furniture,
climb ladders, and perform tasks that require strength and
endurance. Must be capable of administering appropriate
restraint and self-defense techniques if necessary.
