  CUSTODIAN

RESPONSIBLE TO:  Principal

1.  Perform in an efficient manner the daily cleaning of the total school building and grounds as directed by the Principal or his agent.

2.  Engage in workshops and In-service to keep abreast of the latest cleaning techniques.

3.  Maintain the mechanical and storage room in an orderly and safe condition at all times.

4.  Store and inventory all equipment, tools, and supplies.

5.  Perform preventive maintenance tasks as the need arises.

6.  Report all hazardous conditions prevailing in the building or on school grounds.

7.  Report all maintenance needs promptly to the Principal.

8.  Act as a public relations agent for the school district.

9.  Report any unusual occurrences where the health, safety, or security of pupils or teachers is threatened.

10.  Inform the Principal as soon as possible before reporting time, if unable to perform their duties.

11.  Open and close buildings as directed by the Principal.

12.  Dispose of trash and garbage in accordance with Health Department regulations.

13.  Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor, Principal, Superintendent,  and the Board of Education.
