What are the responsibilities and job description for the Juvenile Supervision Officer position at Grayson County Department of Juvenile Services?
Job Overview
Works independently and is responsible for daily supervision, guidance, and discipline of juveniles in the pre-adjudication or post-adjudication residential facilities. Duties may include: one-on-one counseling, group work, lead exercise activities, educational and work programs. Candidate must be able to be trained to handle hazardous situations, CPR/First Aid, ethics as well as other state required training. Perform admission and screening duties as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Experience working with delinquent youth helpful; but, not required. Military experience preferred but not required.
Requirements
Must be 21 years of age. Must pass background check and drug screen. Have a valid Texas or Oklahoma driver's license. Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and holidays.
