What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Equipment Operator II position at Grayson Carter and Son Contracting?
Position Title: Site Equipment Operator II
Department: Field Operations
Supervisor: Site Foreman
Location: Athens, AL
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate various equipment such as:
- Mini Excavator
- Skid Steer
- Scraper Tractor and Pan(s)*
- *GPS experience is a plus
- Ensure all work is completed according to required standards and plans
- Load and offload rocks, debris and other materials from heavy equipment
- Maneuver motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials
- Willing to work on the ground and perform manual labor to complete tasks as needed
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report any issues immediately
- Maintain a high level of quality work at all times
- Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times
- Aid coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ability to communicate and convey information effectively
- Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards
- Ability to obtain Arsenal and FBI Badge preferred, but not required
- Requires personal transportation to job sites.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required
- Work weekends and overtime as needed
- Committed to attending work each day
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
