Position Title: Quarry Maintenance Technician
Department: Quarry Operations
Location: Baileyton, AL
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, motors, and other plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective repairs in a timely and safe manner.
- Assist in installation, alignment, and removal of mechanical components and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and assist with plant shutdowns and overhauls.
- Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Maintain a high level of quality work at all times
- Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ability to communicate and convey information effectively
- Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Previous experience in construction, mining, or heavy equipment operation (optional but beneficial).
- Knowledge of OSHA & MSHA Standards
- Dependable transportation
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required
- Work weekends and overtime as needed
- Committed to attending work each day
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
