As a Grapple Truck Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport and handling of logs, branches, and debris using specialized equipment. Responsibilities
- Operate and drive a manual transmission grapple truck to transport wood, debris, and other materials to and from job sites.
- Safely operate a knuckle boom and grapple attachment for loading and unloading logs, tree trunks, and branches.
- Perform cleanup at job sites to maintain safety and efficiency.
- Conduct routine vehicle and equipment maintenance, including checking fluids, bolts, filters, and greasing bearings.
- Promptly report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the foreman or operations manager.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions and be available for additional shifts as needed, such as storm cleanup or weekend jobs.
- Track inventory and prepare reports for management as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class A or B with airbrake endorsement.
- Experience operating grapple trucks, cranes, or similar heavy equipment.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects as needed.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in all weather conditions.
