Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components.
- Conduct repairs including engine overhauls, brake replacements, alignment adjustments, welding, soldering, tire service, and assembly of various heavy equipment components.
- Fabricate custom parts or modifications for construction machinery or farm equipment using power tools and hand tools.
- Maintain and service construction machinery such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other heavy-duty industrial equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical diagnostics on automotive and industrial equipment to identify faults accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and preventive inspections to prolong equipment lifespan.
- Support heavy lifting activities during repairs or assembly processes while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic. Strong mechanical knowledge is essential.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with construction machinery maintenance is highly desirable.
- Ability to read schematics and OEM manuals for accurate diagnostics and repairs of diesel engines and heavy equipment.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, hydraulic systems, HVAC systems related to heavy machinery, and power tools operation.
- Knowledge of construction equipment servicing such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, cranes, tractors-trailers.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail.
