Part-Time Floral Designer
We are looking for an experienced, creative, and dependable Floral Designer to join our team! If you have a passion for flowers, excellent customer service skills, and experience creating sympathy arrangements, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Design and create fresh floral arrangements for daily customer orders.
- Create funeral and sympathy arrangements with confidence and attention to detail.
- Assist customers both in-store and over the phone with floral orders and inquiries.
- Process incoming flower deliveries and maintain floral inventory.
- Keep the design area, floral cooler, and workspace clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of weddings, funerals, and other special events.
- Operate the cash register/POS system as needed.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service at all times.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during holidays and peak floral seasons.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional floral design experience required.
- Funeral floral design experience is required.
- Experience using Sympathy Oasis® forms and floral oasis products is required.
- Strong knowledge of fresh flower care and floral design techniques.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy shop environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
- Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
Schedule
Part-Time
- Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with more days during holidays and busy season
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Flexible availability during holidays and holiday weeks is required, as these are our busiest times.
