Job Summary
As a Cashier/Sales Associate, you’ll create a welcoming shopping experience by helping customers find products, answering questions, and completing accurate purchases. You’ll use point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash register operations while supporting sales floor presentation and daily store needs. Your impact: Helpful service and accurate transactions make shopping easier for customers and support a smooth-running store.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers, provide attentive customer service, and use clear communication and professional phone etiquette.
- Process retail sales transactions, operate the cash register, handle cash and the cash drawer, and apply basic math and retail math accurately.
- Support retail sales through product knowledge, product demonstrations, and appropriate upselling based on customer needs.
- Stock merchandise, maintain displays, and assist with merchandising to keep products organized and easy to find.
- Help maintain a positive, efficient store environment; supervising experience may support team coordination when needed.
Experience
- Bilingual ability (Spanish) is preferred but not required.
- Experience in cashiering, cash handling, retail sales, or customer service is helpful; familiarity with POS systems and cash drawer handling is preferred.
- Basic math, retail math, accuracy, and clear communication skills are important for completing transactions and assisting customers.
- Interest in learning retail store product knowledge and presenting products through demonstrations is valued.
- Reliability, a customer-focused approach, and willingness to help with stocking and merchandising are essential.
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
